What is so special about Mahashivratri 2025?

This year, the festival of Maha Shivratri is special because of a rare celestial alignment. This auspicious celestial event last took place 60 years ago.

The planetary alignment of Venus and Rahu is going to be in Pisces; this is considered a very powerful and strong alignment for love and relationships.

As the Hindu festival celebrates the union of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati’s commitment, it is considered auspicious for couples and singles. It is an optimum period for manifestation and rituals related to commitment.

Sun, Mercury, and Saturn will also be transitioning in Aquarius, which is also considered a rare celestial alignment.

Aside from planetary alignment, February 26th is also the last day of Maha Kumbh Mela’s Kumbh Snan ritual, making Mahashivratri more special and divine.
